This policy explains what information Ballmac (“we”, “us”) handles through the ballmac.com website, the Binzide app for macOS, and when you contact us or buy a license. If you have questions, email hello@ballmac.com.
Binzide app
Binzide is built to work locally. It has no account system, no analytics or crash reporting service, and no cloud backend.
- Scans stay on your Mac. Storage, cleanup, app, performance, network, and system features read information about your Mac locally. Results are never uploaded to us.
- Network tools run only when you start them. Network diagnostics, cURL Lab, and Port Scanner send requests directly from your Mac to the destinations you choose. We never see them.
- Update checks are manual. When you choose Check for Updates, Binzide reads the public list of releases from GitHub. It never checks automatically.
- Pro licenses. When you activate, deactivate, or open Binzide with a saved license, Binzide sends your license key to Dodo Payments to confirm it is valid, along with a generic device label (“Binzide for macOS”). Your Mac's name and files are not sent. The key is stored in your macOS Keychain.
- Data stays under your control. Settings and tool data are stored on your Mac. You can remove them anytime from Settings → Clear App Data.
Website
- No analytics, trackers, or cookies. ballmac.com doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. It remembers your light or dark mode choice in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
- Downloads. Binzide downloads are served from GitHub, which processes standard request information when you download a file.
When you contact us
If you use the Work with us form or email us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and project details. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss your project. The form sends your message to us by email through our email provider, Resend, and sends you a copy. It isn't stored on the website, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking.
Purchases
Binzide Pro is sold through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Dodo Payments collects and processes your payment and billing details, calculates taxes, and issues your receipt and license key under its own privacy policy. We don't receive or store your full card details. We may receive your name, email address, and order details so we can support your purchase.
How we share information
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We rely only on the service providers named above (Vercel, GitHub, Resend, and Dodo Payments) to run the website, deliver downloads, handle email, and process payments. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention and your choices
We keep emails and project inquiries as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, then delete them. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you by emailing hello@ballmac.com.
Children
Our products and services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make the update clear on this page before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
